Terms & Conditions
Note: Hereby is given notice to all M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners clients who`s vehicles are left under our care and supervision.
1. Contract
All work carried out by M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners shall be subject to the terms and conditions detailed here except where M.G.S Motorsport /M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners have given written approval otherwise.
All contracts are for 1year with a written termination of six months if we do not receive this written conformation in this period your contract will automatically continue and we will seek compensation for lost revenue.
All contracts can be undertaken on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis or a flexible plan can be adopted by special arrangement.
2. Liability
All vehicles in the care of M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will be treated with due care and respect while under M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners supervision; however M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will not accept any responsibility for damages to clients vehicles unless a case of negligence on the part of M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners can be proved.
3. Prices
M.G.S Motorsport reserve the right to increase or decrease the quoted or agreed price structures in the event of any increase or decrease in the cost of materials, labour,fuel, services, exchange rate and carriage or vat rate.
MGS Motorsport accepts no responsibilty for ommissions or incorrect prices on this website and cannot be held liable for any mistakes or errors in prices as prices for materials and costs can fluctuate depending on currency all prices are correct at the time of entry and MGS Motorsport will not be held accountable should our manufacturer or distributors change their pricing stuctures.
MGS Motorsport will not post price changes on this web site and customers should check the latest pricing by telephone or e-mail
In the event of any of the contract vehicles not being on site when scheduled M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will have the right to charge a call out charge of which is currently set at £30.00 pounds for our time.
As of Jan 2008 their will be a fee of £40 pounds for failure to keep pre booked appointments
If we are given 24 hours notice that there will be no vehicles available on that day then the charge will be waived.
4. Payment
Payment of all M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners invoices must be paid for in full or on completion of the service or in the case of accessories paid for in advance or on delivery. All goods or invoices can be paid for by cash, cheque, credit card, Solo or maestro, failure to meet these payment requirements will entitle M.G.S Motorsport /M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners to recover any costs involved and/or to recover any unpaid goods. M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will also be entitled to charge interest on any amount due until the full amount of any outstanding invoice is paid.
M.G.S will take legal action against any non paying client.
(a) credit card purchases will as from 16/12/02 will be subject to an extra charge of 2.5 percent on the total transaction. We have had to introduce this charge because of our merchant service supplier who charges us for the privilege of you using their card; some companies will not bring this to your attention and will add it to your bill anyway.
All goods over £25.00 require a 50 percent deposit to be charged this helps combat cancelled orders because once an item is ordered it cannot be returned without the manufacturer, supplier or distributor charging us for carrage or a handling fee to return the goods. You will not be charged should another customer require the goods.
In the case of body styling parts and alloy wheels these items are required to be paid for in full and once ordered cannot be cancelled. These items can take from 2 days up to 7 weeks to arrive from date of order depending on which country we have to order them from.
No purchases by credit card or switch can be sent to any other address other than the card holders address and we can not accept a mobile telephone number as the only contact number. For security reasons you will be asked for further verification
(b) Purchases
All goods are checked when they arrive from our suppliers for damage, no refunds will be given for breakages once you leave our premises. Any damage should be notified immediately. All mail order items should be checked for breakages, as a refund will not be given if the carrier has left with a signed document to say that the item/s have been delivered in good condition.
No refund will be given until all items returned faulty are checked by the manufacturer whereby on their say will you be given a credit note or replacement item.
No goods are covered for any labour charges which may occur should they be faulty the cost of this will be passed on to the client unless warranted by M.G.S Motorsport /M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners.
No goods will be exchanged or a credit note given if you do not have a valid receipt nor will any faulty item unless accompanied by a valid receipt. It is therefore paramount that you keep hold of your receipt
5. Scratches and stain removal
Specialist service/s will be carried out at the clients own risk M.G.S Motorsport /M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will not be held liable for any damages which may occur in the course of our work while rectifying any problem that a client may have. Advice will always be given on the risk that is undertaken and clients may be asked to sign a disclaimer if the nature of the work requested has never been carried out before.
6. Accessories
All accessories supplied by M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners come with a manufacturers warranty of 1 to 2 years with some items carrying a lifetime warranty. Some product warranty's carry a lifetime guarantee but only to the original purchaser.
M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will cover any item installed by us for a period of one year against any installation defects.however removal of any faulty part that has gone wrong and has not been caused by installation will incur an hourly charge of £40.00 per hour. You may be able to recover any costs involved from the manufacturer. However replacemeant of the faulty part may be carried out free of charge at our discretion
Any item not purchased from M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will incur our hourly rate charge of £40.00 for any work that may need carried out.
7. Vehicles
M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners staff are fully insured to drive clients vehicles if required. Vehicles parked outside our premises are left entirely at the owners own risk, however M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will take every precaution necessary to protect the vehicle/s while under our care. Vehicles parked by any of our clients should be placed in a clean, safe and clear working area as to protect the vehicle from any accidental damage. Failure to do so will admonish M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners of all liability for any accidental damages which may occur.
8. Inspection
Clients must inspect their property whether it is a vehicle or other item belonging to them prior to and on completion of any work being undertaken. Failure to do so will admonish M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners of any responsibility for any damages.
9. Queries
Any queries on M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners services must be put in writing and sent to M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners Unit 5 101 High Street, Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, EH192ET.
10. Contract Termination
Clients wishing to cancel any form of contract whether verbal or written must request to do so in writing six months before the official contract renewal date .failure to do so will result in M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners continuing the contract for a further 12 months .
11. Parking Fees & Parking Tickets
M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will not be held responsible for any parking charges in the course of our work as it is the clients responsibility to ensure their vehicle has the appropriate ticket & that the vehicle is parked in an accessible area. If M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners employees have to move the vehicle to gain access then it is up to the client to make sure that after the completion of all work that the vehicle is properly & legally parked.
12. Weather
M.G.S Motorsport / M.G.S vehicle appearance reconditioners will endeavour to carry out all our work to schedule but in the winter months please be aware that we may have to re schedule to avoid adverse weather conditions. The type of weather that may affect our ability to carry out the work requested is high winds, heavy rain. Snow, ice & frost. We may also re arrange appointments when the temperature falls below zero the reason for this is that any water being used instantly freezes which damages our equipment.
