Well where do I start this time around as the month moves on things are changing all the time once again the government are screwing the businesses and the public by putting two pence on a liter of petrol do they not realize we need cheap fuel just now and now they are talking about putting the vat rate to 20 percent have they gone completely nuts I thought they were trying to help the car industry.
I have noticed that its not all gloom and doom though we are actually busier with customers seeking professional advice before spending there now really hard earned cash as they are now making better decisions on the products they are buying, it is quality all the way and we are 100 percent behind this we would rather lose a sale than sell you the wrong part for your car.
There are quite a few new products this year replacement double din units that look like a manufacturer fitted product that gives you TV, DVD and Sat-Nav in a unit that is cheaper than £1200.00 pounds. There are also in car cameras that record your driving great for a track day or this little gadget might just get you cheaper insurance.
Armour Automotive have brought out there VT monitor and it plugs directly into your diagnostic port and gives you a raft of information on how your car is performing.
Track it Now also do a new live tracking system with instant information for just about any asset you own even your child or your dog and it also does things that don't have power supplies
I would also like to introduce our new member of staff who deals with any security issues and he seems to be very thorough, his police training is working very well. He always manages to be able to give his colleagues fingerprints even though there might be an arm attached to them but that's a trivial matter in his eyes.
We would also like to thank Federal Signal, Haztec and RSG Engineering for their support in launching us into the supply and service sector of the emergency services long may our business relationship continue .

Hi All
Welcome to our update for 2010 well the weather has certainly affected our business and probably a few others all over the country and the recession is supposed to be ending don't know where its supposed to be ending but its alive and present and still causing havoc whether you are a small business or a large one.
I suppose we have just got to grin and bear it as usual but for Gods sake dont ask the banks for a loan to tide you over unless you can take rejection cause you dont meet their criteria and are prepared to get robbed by their extortionate interest rates, maybe they should have taken more care and looked at their own affairs first before killing local businesses at least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
2010 is going to bring a few changes for us as well.
We have decided to sell our Vehicle cleaning division( MGS Vehicle Appearance Reconditioners) complete with clients which has been established since 1988 so if you are looking for a new venture please come and talk to us we will be more than happy to listen to your proposals and dont worry if you haven't done any valeting or detailing we will train you and give you support for at least a year to help you succeed.
We will be going through a name change this year to distinguish our two business activities this will involve all new logos, We will be calling ourselves MGS Specialist Vehicle Accessories
this section will involve dealing with the Performance, styling, cellular and Audio sides this will keep our Private,business and commercial customers happy and our Emergency services section dealing with all the items needed for Police, Fire Brigade ,Coastguard , Doctor, Funeral and the Ambulance service, this will now be called MGS Emergency Vehicle Accessories , this will cover all Blue, Amber, Green, Red ,White and Purple lighting.
We will be offering as usual our high standard of service and customer satisfaction and would like to thank Federal Signal, RSG, Nav-Comm and Haztec for helping us to establish the Emergency services section, we are striving to deliver next day service across Scotland for now so if something goes wrong give us a call you never know we might be able to help you all our products confirm to EC65.

Welcome to our May update as we have progressed through the winter months we are now seeing a bit of sunshine and it seems to be lifting our sprits a bit we have had a few glorious days of sunshine in Midlothian and it seems to be brining in people wanting to spend some money, long may this continue.
There has been a few new products launched in the last couple of months, there have been new ulta slim Led flash units for the emergency services some new roof lightbars and reduced prices for some of the amber products, as the new LED lighting is taking over more and more. The Emergency services are changing to these type of lighting products nearly every day as the old rotators are slowly being phased out.
On the Car Audio side there are the new OE look replacement headunits that provide you with navigation, Ipod, Bluetooth, SD card, USB, DVD, CD, CDR, MP3 and can have rear cameras, extra monitors, Digital TV and even event recorders connected.
Some of the these units even have the capability to have the manufacturers logo uploaded onto them so when you switch it on it will display their logo so it looks factory fitted and a new item called CDC which you load your CD,s into the unit and it stores the music onto a harddrive and you take the disk back out load another one and so on. The main benefit is they dont cost the same as an OE unit at £2500 or more and are mostly plug and play so are easily removed to sell on if you so desire.
There are also new applications for Ipod connectivity and wireless internet in your car you of course need a little dongle from one of the mobile telephone companies for this to work or a suitable authorized wireless connection.
If your car needs a new set of wheels there are loads of new wheels on the market at the moment and lots of OE copy type wheels so if they are a bit corroded then think about a new set you will be surprised that we can sell you a new set for around the same price it would cost for a refurbishment.
While I remember we are now doing complete dog kits to protect your vehicle and our new revolutionary automatic pet ventilation system should you need to leave your pet in your vehicle for a short time this also comes with a solar panel to keep your battery charged and version 2 of the system even comes with a GSM Paging system to let you know its too hot in the vehicle and thus protecting your pets and or working dogs.
There is also a professional version for more rugged use

See our new lightbars refurbishment service this new service is now in high demand due to budget restraints we will upload some before and after photos as soon as we can, not only can we refurbish your lightbars we can also change rotators to LED and add in extra units, speakers or even message boards and a few other things as well, this all of course depends on the type of bar you have.

Hello once again from MGS we have a few new exciting products launched in the last month there has been a New K9 System from RSG to protect your dogs while in your vehicles.
There is a new in car video system from Roadhawk (see more info in our camera section) a UK based company who supplies a dual camera recording device for either fleet vehicles, emergency service vehicles ,taxis and driver instruction and we have been appointed agents for them in Scotland , we will be aquiring a demo unit very soon so you can actually see it working in a vehicle if your interested then call us to arrange an appointment.
Most of the wheel manufacturers have now launched there new ranges so please ask about our new promotion on a wheel and tyre package this will be running right up to Christmas with lyres of your choice (where available).
We will also be launching our new two way radio section for replacement radios whether it be for private,emergency service use or business use , we will be offering installation and software upgrades, reprogramming and replacement radios.
This service will be backed up by a very well respected manufacturer and we are proud to be entering into a business relationship with ENTEL, we have picked this manufacturer due to their willingness to help and fix any problems that we may have in the future, we will be stocking a few of their radios very soon.
We would also like to advise all our customers past and present of the Vat increase in January, vat is going from 17.5% to 20% so if you are thinking of purchasing anything do it before January you will save some money.
We would also like to announce to our retail customers that we have been appointed a Momo Registered dealer by The UK Importer Brown & Geeson we can now give you access to all of MOMO's product line up from wheels, race suits, seats and a whole lot more.
Theres also new ranges for Handsfree kits if you have an OE headunit we can now give you manufacturer style handsfree to keep that original look and a new style of stereo headunit has sprung up an exact replica of an original system which gives you sat nav ,iPod,DVD,TV,Digital Radio and lets you upgrade your systems speakers and add a amplifier and doesn't come with a £2500 price tag what more could you want, these new units are available for Audi/VW group,Mercedes, Honda, Seat, Vauxhall, BMW and a few more.
Well I think that's it covered for now and I'm glad to say that due to our commitment to our customers,suppliers and from ongoing recommendations from our many and varied clients both in the private, public and business sectors we are as busy as ever although like every other business its sometimes good to have a quiet spell just to catch up.

Welcome to our first update for 2011
Well aren't we all glad that awful weather has gone hopefully for good this was a quiet time for us and has made us look long and hard over the few months that the snow ,ice and freezing temperatures have brought to us.
In 2011 we will be dropping a few products due to the downturn in demand for them no longer are we seeing bodykitted cars or large ice installs but the question is, is it just the way things are and how the modified scene has changed or is it because the legislation has changed or is it because of the lack of spare money.
The cost of fuel could be a contributing factor along with the rise in insurance costs, what we are definitely discovering is our customers are taking their time and saving up for better quality goods which in turn are that bit more expensive but are getting more enjoyment out of their choices as more features are added and software issues are rectified bringing the benefit of an OE factory look.
It doesn't matter what you drive now there will be something we can do for you MGS proud itself on being one of the companies that has a can do attitude not a cant do attitude this of course just leaves the question how much would you like to spend and this is the contributing factor, not only does it take time to choose the right product it is equally important to choose the correct wiring kits for your vehicle.
The day is coming when it will not be possible for Do It Yourself at your front door as your vehicle will need connected to software to enable your new function.
There are now aftermarket products that fit and look like original equipment so everything in your car looks like it is meant to be there.
Some of our new products for 2011 are higher quality reversing sensors ,wireless camera systems for trailers ,horse boxes and few other types of vehicles.
There are also a few new car stereos for 2011 and these have USB,iPod and Aux and as the digital radio takes another step forward there will be an abundance arriving on the market very soon these units are not the cheapest on the market as yet but as you will have to eventually buy one then these will drop in price.
Dont worry to much if your car has a built in stereo and it looks like you cant change it, then help is at hand in the form of an aftermarket fascia which are now available for most vehicles.

Hi everyone I hope you all are looking forward to some good weather so as we can all get our vehicles back into tip top condition and maybe even buy them a little gift just to say thanks for not breaking down.
On a more serious note I have noticed that the fuel prices are still creeping up even although the price of oil has actually came down, so is this the greedy government or is it the supermarkets that's stealing our hard earned money and its not only the fuel has anyone noticed the sneaky road tax rise that's popped through the door when you have renewed it or should I call it emission tax, can anyone actually tell me when it was changed from vehicle excise duty to an emissions tax because I cant find that change anywhere.
Well lets get to the interesting stuff the new hot item that everyone is asking about is in car cameras we have just introduced an HD camera with a connected DVR with monitor and it is especially good for clear images, ideal for emergency service personnel ,covert car use or for motorsport use,
The next new item would be the new OE look double din Units from DYNAVIN better than the OE version and packed with features and half the price of a OE unit.
There has been a huge leap in technology for integration equipment allowing for almost 99% of vehicles to have their in car entertainment upgraded, if you dont think its possible give us a call and we can discuss your requirements.
The aftermarket alloy wheel companies are now launching their new alloy wheels for 2011 and there are a few nice looking wheels this year.

Welcome to our update to what's happening this month, I must admit June and July were especially busy for us so its been a bit more relaxed in August and now we are into September how time flies.
We would like to tell you about some new products we have getting released this month it looks like our suppliers have been busy.
The first one would be our FUEL ANGEL misfueling device this stops any one putting petrol into their diesel car this little gadget doesn't cost a fortune but it can certainly save you one see our main section on this. We are the the Agents for Scotland for this
Next up would be our new In-car or on bike cameras we can do track day cameras in analog and in High Definition with a monitor or without and we can supply various setups from a single camera to a 2,3 or four camera unit.
If you are a business owner we can do an In car camera that protects your vehicles and monitors your drivers driving behavior this little unit is lockable and cant be tampered with this could lower your fleet insurance as in the case of an accident you have evidence as to who,s fault it is
Now we all know that the digital revolution is upon us and nobody has really thought about their TV in their cars have they, it now wont work well we have a new solution and it will give you digital TV in your car and look like it is factory fitted and uses the vehicles existing screen.
The emergency service sector has a few shows coming up in Peterborough where you can see all the new equipment unfortunately its for emergency service personnel only and their suppliers.
We have had to put our company relaunch on the back burner for now but look out for a new name and a new image with updated logo and a new website.
We will also be launching a shop for our web site something we never intended doing but due to customer demand this will be slowly rolled out so we get it just right .
We have also begun to supply new led bulbs so please ask us about these and we now can supply two way radio from entel and icom and for LR discovery 3 owners we have our new Faultmate diagnostic software.
We also have a leather steering wheel refurbishment service with a 7 day turnaround available.
The cube camera has been discontinued due to reliability issues but the good news is there are three new cameras been released and two of them are HD units
We have now tested our HD camera throughly with the help of Mikey Falconer who drives a racing mini in the Celtic speed mini cooper cup he kindly crashed his car twice with spectacular results for our camera system catching a complete rollover and a 70mph off, of course he didn't crash on purpose but we now know our camera system is a tough one. It not only records sharp clear images it also records sound and provides instant playback with the inbuilt monitor.
Federal Signal have also launched a two new lightbars with one being a mini lightbar that is configureable with various options and will come with federals 5 year guarantee and will be able to be removed.
